School closure in the event of bad weather
In the event of bad weather which poses a risk to staff (who live beyond walking distance) arriving or leaving the school site or that the school site is deemed unsafe then a decision can be made by The Chair of Trustees from The Perins MAT that a school closure is required.
We will endeavour to text and email parents and will also place a notice on the front page of our website https://www.sunhilljs.net/ It will also be posted on the hantsweb
PLEASE ENSURE THE OFFICE HAS AN UP-TO DATE EMAIL ADDRESS AND CONTACT NUMBER. You can update this yourself on the Arbor App.
Other school closures: The only way to notify parents of an unavoidable closure before the school day has started is via email and text. If the closure is due to circumstances occurring after the school day has begun, children will be kept in school until parents are notified or permission has been given for their child(ren) to go home with another adult.
