Extended Day
Sun Hill Junior School provides breakfast and after-school provision for Sun Hill Infant and Sun Hill Junior pupils, five days per week from Year R to Year 6 from 4th September 2024. Both Breakfast Club and After School Clubs are operated by our staff and provide high-quality out-of-school childcare for our parents/carers.
Staff provide a range of stimulating and creative activities in a safe trusted environment following all school safeguarding and behavior procedures.
Breakfast Club (7:30-8:45 am)
Breakfast Club is run in-house by our Breakfast Club Team and opens daily from 7:30-8:45 am. The children are provided with a variety of breakfast options (nut-free) from 7:30-8:15 am and activities in the school hall until 8:45 am, Junior pupils are then directed to their classrooms and Infants pupils are accompanied to Sun Hill Infant School and passed directly to a member of Infant school staff.
Sessions for Breakfast Club must be booked and paid for via our online payment system 'ScoPay'. Childcare vouchers are accepted. Each session costs £5.50 per child and the club is open to all children attending Sun Hill Junior and Sun Hill Infant school full-time providing they are happy to be left.
Parents must sign their child in on the Breakfast Club register each day they attend.
After-School Club (3:25-6:00 pm)
After-School Club is run in-house by our After-School Club Team and opens daily until 6 pm. It is open to all children attending Sun Hill Junior and Sun Hill Infant School full-time providing they are happy to be left.
Sun Hill Infant School children are collected from their school and registered at the end of the school day and taken to the Sun Hill Junior School Hall. Junior School pupils will be directed to the School Hall by their class teacher. A light tea is offered after some time to play and wind down with friends.
Sessions for After-School Club must be booked and paid for in advance via our online payment system 'ScoPay'. Childcare vouchers and Government tax-free childcare schemes are accepted. Each session currently costs £13.50 per child and all children must be collected by 6 pm (late collection fees apply).
Parents must collect by the allotted time and each child must be signed out on the register.
Sessions must be booked through the Calendar option on the App (or web). The booking system will automatically close 5 days prior to any session.
